A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to the Missaukee County Election Division on October 30, 2024. The request, filed by North Michigan News, a media organization committed to comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, sought detailed reports of pre-election voting machine tests.
Specifically, North Michigan News requested the test reports in PDF format with fields detailing the test date, machine manufacturer, machine model number, and machine status indicating whether the machine passed or failed the test.

We have requested a fee waiver for this information as part of our role in disseminating information to the public.
