Of the 2,177 people living in West Branch in 2019, 52.8 percent (1,149) were women and 47.2 percent (1,028) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the North Michigan News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 607-to-534. In the 65 and over age range, there were 444 females and 201 males.
