The Northern Michigan University women's swim and dive team, ranked tenth nationally, achieved a decisive 239-61 victory over the thirteenth-ranked Wayne State Warriors in Marquette. The Wildcats secured gold medals in every event during the meet and took 37 of 48 possible podium finishes across 16 events.

The team managed to sweep the top three positions in five events: the 200 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, 200 butterfly, and 100 butterfly. Anika Wright led with four first-place finishes in the 400 medley relay, 1000 freestyle, 500 freestyle, and 400 individual medley. Annika Geyer also earned medals in all her events with a gold in the 200 butterfly and silver medals in three others.

Evie DeCarlo won golds in both relay and individual events: the 400 medley relay, the 100 breaststroke, and the 100 freestyle. Manuela Araujo claimed victories in the 200 freestyle and the 200 individual medley while also earning silver in another event. Sophia Moore took first place finishes as part of a relay team and individually, while Evangeline Pierce added another gold for NMU.

On the diving boards, Kalina Ceglinski continued her successful season by winning both diving events. Grace Daly earned bronze on one-meter diving while Lilian Marx placed third on three-meter.

"The 'Cats claimed six of the top eight spots in the 100 free," according to meet results. The Wildcats dominated throughout with consistent podium sweeps or near-sweeps across multiple races.

NMU opened competition by taking three of four top places in the opening relay event before going on to win or secure leading positions through distance swims, sprints, relays, strokes events (backstroke/breaststroke/butterfly), and both diving disciplines.

With this result, Northern Michigan continues its strong performance this season against nationally ranked opposition.
