Community Engagement
As a way of celebrating veterans at Kohl’s and in communities around the country, Kohl’s Veteran & Military Business Resource Group (BRG) co-hosted a Virtual Veterans Career Forum earlier this month. This unique opportunity provided veterans and military personnel transitioning to the civilian workforce the chance to hear from industry experts on a variety of topics, such as veteran benefits, personal finance, networking, social media tips, and strategies for translating military experience into resume writing and interviews.
Recruiting Talent
Kohl’s is committed to creating an environment where everyone feels a sense of equity, where diversity is valued at all levels, and where inclusion is evident across our business. In support of recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce, Kohl’s actively recruits at military bases and partners with veteran service organizations to help connect service members and their spouses to careers within our organization.
Kohl’s Military Discount
Another way Kohl’s is celebrating veterans and current and former military is through a special in-store military discount. From Wednesday, Nov. 11 - Sunday, Nov. 15, veterans and current and former military members and their immediate families will receive 30% off in-store purchases.*
In addition, in 2019, Kohl’s introduced Military Mondays, which was strongly advocated by members of our Veteran & Military BRG and offers a 15% in-store discount for active and former military personnel, veterans and their immediate families every Monday, all year long.
