Nilssen and Richter lead NMU in SuperTour Finals' Team Sprint

The NMU women's nordic ski team participated in the SuperTour Finals' Team Sprint event, concluding day three of competition in Duluth, Minnesota. Henriette Nilssen and Merle Richter led the team by securing sixth place in the A Final.

Nilssen and Richter reached the A Finals with a qualifying time of 6:29.12, skiing one lap each. Richter achieved the fourth-fastest lap time of 3:09.26, helping them advance to the finals. In the finals, each skier completed three laps for a total time of 20:23.58, finishing sixth overall and third among collegiate teams.

Two other Wildcat teams also competed in the A Finals. Pearl Harvey and Flisa Ravald finished 12th with a time of 20:43.50, while Victoria Dybwad and Kolibri Drobish placed 13th at 20:56.01, ranking sixth and seventh among collegiate competitors.

Ella Niznik and Jordan Parent participated in the B Finals, where they secured fourth place both overall and among collegiate teams with a time of 22:06.05.

The NMU nordic team's season will conclude with the freestyle mass start 50km event on Tuesday, March 26th.
