The City of Traverse City and Grand Traverse County are currently experiencing a network disruption, identified as a ransomware incident. An immediate investigation was conducted, and the issue has been fully recognized.

Authorities are collaborating with the Michigan State Police, FBI, and liability providers to address the situation. "Appropriate measures are being taken to protect the system," stated officials. As a precautionary effort, both County and City networks will remain offline until further notice.

During this transitional period, residents can expect gaps in public services and ongoing changes. An updated list of impacts will continue to be communicated. The affected services include public safety operations, city and county payments, email, phone and voicemail systems, website access, and city public meeting streaming services.
