CITY OF BRIGHTON MI: BID - DDA Retaining Wall Replacement Project

City of Brighton MI recently issued the following announcement.

The City of Brighton will receive sealed proposals until 3:00 P.M., E.D.T. on October 14, 2020 for:  Retaining Wall Replacement Project.

Proposals shall include all trades under one general contract.

All proposals should be addressed to the City of Brighton Downtown Development Authority, 200 North First Street, Brighton, Michigan 48116.  Bids will be received at City Hall up to the time noted above, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Bid Documents may be obtained, with prior notice, at the offices of the Architects after 2:00 P.M., E.D.T. on September 30, 2020.  Only digital files of the documents will be distributed.

Each proposal must be submitted on forms furnished in the bid documents and must be completed in full.  Each proposal shall be sealed in an opaque envelope and marked with the name of the building project and the name of the bidder.

A bid bond executed by an approved security company or certified check in the amount of at least 5% of the sum of the proposal shall be submitted with each proposal.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish one hundred percent (100%) Performance, Labor and Material Bonds.

Any final addendums will be available at the office of the architect by 3:00 P.M., E.D.T., on October 9, 2020.

All proposals submitted shall remain firm for a period of 60 days after the official opening of bids.

The City of Brighton reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to award separate parts of the services required, to negotiate the terms and conditions of all and/or any part of the proposals, to waive irregularities and/or formalities, and, in general, to make the award in the manner as determined to be in the City’s best interest and sole discretion.
