Schmidt to host coffee hour events to speak with constituents in September

Sen. Wayne Schmidt (R-Traverse City) will host several coffee hour events with his constituents during the remainder of September, according to MiSenateGOP.

Schmidt will answer constituents' questions and also provide information. He is planning to take suggestions from constituents on community and business issues.

Schmidt urges those who plan to participate to follow recommended health guidelines and practice social distancing. He also urges those who cannot participate to contact him during office hours to share their thoughts and concerns.

The senator will be at Judson Market and Restaurant in Kingsley on Sept. 18 between 11 a.m. and noon; Harbor View Cafe in Charlevoix on Sept. 21 between 9 and 10 a.m.; Petoskey Pretzel Co. in Petoskey on the same day between 11 a.m. and noon; and Harbor Hope Coffee in St. Ignace on Sept. 25 between 11 a.m. and noon, according to MiSenateGOP.

There are no appointments necessary for the coffee hour events, and constituents are invited show up to meet and speak with Schmidt about various local issues.
