The Northern Michigan University women's golf team is set to compete in the Flyer Fall Intercollegiate Invitational, which will take place at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club in Lemont, Illinois. The two-day tournament is scheduled for Monday, October 6, and Tuesday, October 7, and is hosted by Lewis University.

Eight teams will participate in the event, featuring regional and conference rivals. The field includes GLIAC teams Davenport (ranked #75), Purdue Northwest (#125), and UW Parkside (#157). Other notable teams are Lewis (#130), William Jewell College (#119), and Quincy (#124), according to 2024 rankings.

Tee times for the tournament will be updated when available. Live scoring will be provided by Scoreboard (Powered by clippd).

Cog Hill Golf & Country Club is a historic public facility near Chicago with four courses. Its Dubsdread course has been recognized as one of "America's 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses" by Golf Digest and is rated the top public course in Illinois by Golfweek.

Weather forecasts predict partly cloudy conditions with temperatures in the low 80s and winds around 10 mph on Monday. Tuesday's forecast calls for temperatures in the low 70s, a 42% chance of rain, and similar wind speeds. Organizers note that while Monday offers favorable conditions for play, weather may be less ideal on Tuesday.

In their previous outing at the Bulldog Fall Classic, Northern Michigan finished last among thirteen teams with a total score of 680 (+104) over two days. Maddie Martens led the Wildcats with an individual finish of 44th place (+18), followed by Abbie Pietila (54th, +21), Payton Donnelly (69th, +32), Aavra Relich (71st, +33), Gabriella Moreau (79th), Olivia Brill (81st), and Abby Luke (83rd).

Last season at this same Flyer Fall Intercollegiate event, NMU placed eighth out of ten teams. Hailey Bolander was the top performer for NMU with a 19th-place finish (+18). Martens finished 31st (+16) while Pietila took 38th.

Several competing teams have shown strong results this season:

- Davenport achieved sixth place at the Ohio Dominican Champions of Women's Golf Tournament and fourth at the Wayne State Warrior Invitational.

- Purdue Northwest placed twelfth at Ohio Dominican's invitational but has not finished higher than tenth since.

- Parkside set new program records for both single-round and three-round scores at recent events.

- Lewis had mid-field finishes this fall; Kyra Simon and Kendall Farm consistently led their squad.

- William Jewell recorded fifth place at the KC Cup and had multiple top-20 individual finishes.

- Quincy saw its best performance with a fifth-place finish at the Dan Salisbury Memorial Invite.
