On September 19, Congressman Jack Bergman (MI-01), Congresswoman Nikki Budzinski (IL-13), and Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) will hold a press conference to announce the launch of the Congressional Postal Service Caucus. The event is scheduled to take place at the House Triangle from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time.
The bipartisan caucus, co-chaired by Budzinski, Bergman, Pappas, and Congressman Andrew Garbarino (NY-02), aims to address issues related to postal service delivery. Its focus areas include improving on-time delivery rates, protecting postal employees, and preventing facility consolidations that may reduce access in rural and underserved communities.
Jack Bergman has represented Michigan’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, after succeeding Dan Benishek. He was born in Shakopee, Minnesota in 1947 and currently resides in Watersmeet. Bergman holds degrees from Gustavus Adolphus College and the University of West Florida.
The organizers emphasize their commitment to demanding improved service for Americans through this new initiative.
