NMU announces sports hall of fame induction ceremony details

The Northern Michigan University Athletic Department has announced the induction of the 2025 NMU Sports Hall of Fame Class. The ceremony will take place on September 19, 2025, at the Northern Center Ballrooms.

This year's inductees are Jennie Barlage (Long), Dean Ellis, Renee LeBlanc, Troy Mattson, Berndt Rognstad, and the Women's Swim and Dive Team from the years 1990-91 and 1991-92.

The event will commence with a cash bar available from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. The induction ceremony is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for this event are currently available for purchase through the NMU Ticket Office or online. They must be secured by September 5. General admission tickets are priced at $40, while tickets for children aged 12 and under are $20.

Following their induction, the new Hall of Fame class will be acknowledged during halftime at NMU's Homecoming game against Davenport. This game is set to occur in the Superior Dome on Saturday, September 20, with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m.
