Two Wildcat hockey players, Warren Clark and Avery Laliberte, are participating in NHL Development Camps.

Warren Clark, a defenseman transferring from St. Cloud State, was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the sixth round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft with pick number 179. During his draft year with the Steinbach Pistons of the MJHL, Clark led all Piston defensemen in points (38), assists (32), and points per game (0.69). He also contributed significantly to the Pistons' postseason run to an MJHL Championship by leading the defense core in points (8) and assists (7). The Lightning's development camp started on July 1 and will conclude with a 3-on-3 tournament on Thursday and Friday. Clark is one of four collegiate skaters at this camp.

Avery Laliberte, set to join the Wildcats as a freshman for the 2026/27 season, has been invited to the Winnipeg Jets Development Camp. Laliberte played two seasons with the Niverville Nighthawks of the MJHL, where he scored seven goals and made 32 assists for a total of 39 points in 53 games. This performance nearly doubled his point production from his first season. He led his team's defense group in every major category and was fourth among all MJHL defensemen in assists and points. The Jets Development Camp began on June 30 and will continue until July 4.

Both players are showcasing their skills at these camps as they aim to advance their hockey careers.
