Northern Michigan men's basketball announces schedule for upcoming season

Matt Majkrzak and the Northern Michigan University men's basketball team have released their schedule for the 2025-26 season. The Wildcats, who are coming off a GLIAC Tournament title in the 2024-25 season and have won the GLIAC championship for three consecutive years, aim to continue their success into the new campaign.

The schedule includes a return to Wisconsin Dells, where NMU holds a 5-1 record over the past two seasons. The team will open its season there with games against Maryville and Missouri-St. Louis on November 14 and 15. They will return to face Northern State on November 21 and Northwest Missouri State on November 23.

NMU's home opener is scheduled for November 26 against Concordia (WI), followed by a game against Minnesota Duluth on November 29 at Vandament Arena.

The Wildcats' first pair of GLIAC games will be away, facing Parkside on December 4 and Roosevelt on December 6. They will then host Marian (WI) in non-conference play on December 14 before embarking on a trip to Puerto Rico from December 19-21 for three games.

On January 1, NMU will host Davenport, followed by Grand Valley State on January 3. A brief road trip to Houghton is planned for January 8 against Michigan Tech before returning home to face Ferris State on January 12.

The following five weeks will see NMU alternating between away and home games. The team visits Lake Superior State and Saginaw Valley State on January 15 and 17, respectively, then hosts Purdue Northwest and Wayne State on January 22 and 24. The month concludes with road games at Grand Valley State on January 29 and Davenport on January 31.

February begins with home matches against Saginaw Valley State and Lake Superior State on February 5 and February7. NMU then travels to Wayne State on February12and Purdue Northweston Valentine's Day.

In closing out the regular season, three of NMU's final four games are at home: Michigan Tech visits Vandament Arenaon February19beforethe 'Cats travelto FerrisStateonFebruary21.The regular-season finale featureshomegamesagainstRooseveltonFebruary26andParksideonFebruary28forSeniorDay.
