Lamar Gordon, Beverly Harper, Gianna Hoving, Ahna Larson, and Ellyse Wolfrath from Northern Michigan University have been recognized for their academic and athletic achievements. The five athletes have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
Gordon maintains a 4.0 GPA as a Biology major and has participated in six cross country races and nine track meets. She achieved notable finishes at both the GLIAC Championships and regional events.
Harper, with a 3.99 GPA in Health and Physical Education, set a personal record at regionals in cross country. On the track, she secured victories in the Distance Medley Relay and the 800m.
Hoving, majoring in Spanish with a 3.91 GPA, earned All-Region accolades after an impressive performance at the Midwest Regional Championship. Her efforts also led to three wins during the indoor track season.
Larson graduated with a 3.84 GPA in Biology and participated in 16 meets throughout the track season. She set a school record in the 400m hurdles at the GLIAC Championships and was honored as Wildcat Awards Humanitarian of the Year.
Wolfrath is pursuing Nursing with a 3.65 GPA. She advanced to NCAA Championships during the indoor season and was named All-Region by USTFCCCA for her performance in hurdles events. Wolfrath set school records at GLIAC Championships and was named NMU's Female MVP of the Year.
