The NMU lacrosse team emerged victorious against the Concordia-St. Paul Golden Bears, securing a 9-7 win that propelled them to the GLIAC Championship. The match took place at the GVSU Lacrosse Stadium on the Grand Valley State campus, marking the third consecutive season NMU has prevailed over the Golden Bears in the postseason.
The Wildcats, ranked No. 3, faced off against the No. 2 Golden Bears in a challenging match. The No. 1 Lakers defeated the No. 4 Davenport Panthers in another semifinal, setting the stage for a championship encounter between NMU and GVSU. This match, scheduled for Sunday, May 4, at noon ET, will be the third consecutive championship meeting between NMU and GVSU.
Josie Lakosky, awarded the 2025 GLIAC Attacker of the Year, was instrumental for NMU, leading with assists and points while achieving season-highs in caused turnovers and ground balls.
