The Northern Michigan University (NMU) athletics department has a busy schedule ahead from April 25 to April 27, 2025.
On Friday, April 25, the women's golf team will begin its participation in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships. The event takes place at Stonehedge Golf Course in Augusta, Michigan. The team is set for a morning tee time and will engage in 18 holes of stroke play.
Continuing into Saturday, April 26, the women's lacrosse team will face off against Concordia-St. Paul at noon in Marquette, Michigan. The event will also serve as a senior day, honoring seven graduating players.
Additionally, the women's golf team will proceed with the second round of the GLIAC Championships on April 26. This is followed by the first round of medal match play in the afternoon. Teams must rank within the top four after 36 holes to qualify for this stage of the competition.
The track and field team will participate in the St. Norbert Invitational held in De Pere, Wisconsin, on the same Saturday.
The following day, Sunday, April 27, the women's golf team will continue its efforts in the GLIAC Championships with the second round of medal match play. The team must win their semifinals match on Saturday afternoon to advance to the finals.
