Northern Michigan University’s women’s lacrosse team is set to travel to Minnesota for two upcoming matches. The Wildcats will compete against Concordia-St. Paul in a conference game and against the College of Saint Benedict in a non-conference matchup.

Recent performances saw NMU secure a 9-6 victory over Davenport but face a narrow 11-12 overtime defeat by Grand Valley State University. The Wildcats will meet Concordia-St. Paul on Saturday, April 5, before taking on the College of Saint Benedict on Sunday, April 6. Both matches are scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.

Live coverage is available for both games, with Saturday’s match broadcast on FloLive and Sunday’s on the MIAC Sports Network.

With a current record of 7-4 overall and 2-1 in the conference, the Wildcats see sophomore Josie Lakosky as a pivotal offensive player. She has twice been named the GLIAC Player of the Week and has set an NMU single-game points record twice. Freshman Hannah Jabas and senior Taylor Priestley are notable contributors, with several other players augmenting the team’s attack.

The Wildcats face a 6-5 Concordia-St. Paul team with a similar 2-1 GLIAC record. Leading the Golden Bears is junior Susie Monson, with notable performances from senior Anna Fisher. Goalkeeper Katie Colleran provides a solid defense with a 49.5% save rate.

In the non-conference faceoff, the College of Saint Benedict currently stands at 2-4 overall and 0-2 in conference play, aiming to end a three-game losing streak. Key players Sami Hackley, Ava Mosley, and Hannah Kurowski lead the Bennies’ efforts, while goalkeeper Chloe Lewis anchors their defense with a 38.0% save rate.

Historically, the Wildcats have a favorable record against Concordia-St. Paul, winning the last six encounters, and they seek to maintain their unbeaten history against the College of Saint Benedict, having won their only previous meeting.
