The Northern Michigan University (NMU) women's lacrosse team is preparing to host Lewis University at home this weekend. The Wildcats, currently holding a 4-2 record, are coming off a spring-break road trip where they secured one win against Missouri Western and suffered two losses to Quincy and Maryville.

The upcoming match against Lewis University will take place on Saturday, March 15 at 12 p.m. Attendance is free for fans, who can also stream the game live on FloLive.

Sophomore forward Josie Lakosky has been named GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. During the recent road trip, she scored 12 goals and provided four assists across three games. Notably, Lakosky set a program record with ten points in a single game against Missouri Western.

Lewis University enters the match with a 3-2 record. The Flyers were predicted to finish sixth in their conference pre-season poll. Their offense is led by seniors Catherine Roney and Heidi Sweeney. Sophomore goalkeeper Myah Templeton holds a save percentage of 46.4%.

Historically, NMU has dominated past encounters with Lewis University, maintaining an all-time record of 5-0 against them. Last season's victory saw significant contributions from then-seniors Minnie Bittell and Kaitlyn Bridger.
