The Northern Michigan University (NMU) women's lacrosse team is set to embark on a road trip, playing three games in Illinois and Missouri over five days. The journey begins with a nearly ten-hour bus ride to Quincy, Illinois, where the Wildcats will face off against Quincy University and Missouri Western State University. The game against Quincy is scheduled for Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET, followed by a neutral-site match against Missouri Western on Friday at 3 p.m. ET.
After their games in Quincy, the Wildcats will travel two hours south to St. Louis, Missouri. There they will play Maryville University at noon on Sunday before returning home on a 12-hour bus ride.
Quincy University's Hawks have started their season with a 2-2 record after reaching the GLVC Tournament for the first time last spring. Key players include junior Amelia Ham and sophomore Anni Moran, who have been leading the offense.
Missouri Western's Griffons are also off to a 2-2 start this season under head coach Jessica Berg. Notable players include Grace Williams and Sam Pruitt, both of whom received All-GLVC honors last year.
Maryville University's Saints are currently ranked no. 5/6 in national polls and were selected as favorites to win the GLVC this season. The team has begun with a 3-1 record, led by Haley Ritchie and Helen Bae among others.
