The Northern Michigan University (NMU) women's swim and dive team is set to compete in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships starting tomorrow. The event will take place over four days at the Holland Aquatic Center in Holland, Michigan.

The championship schedule includes 21 events spread across the four days, with preliminaries beginning at 10:00 a.m. and finals at 5:30 p.m. each day. Fans can watch the competitions on FloSwimming or follow updates on the NMU Athletics website.

In last year's GLIAC Championships, NMU's women's team secured third place with a total of 726 points, contributing to an overall second-place finish for NMU with a combined score of 1343.5 points.

NMU swimmers have shown strong performances leading up to this year's championships. Becca Burrows ranks third in both the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle events, achieving NCAA B cuts. Elena Curti also achieved B cuts in multiple events, including ranking fourth in the 200-yard freestyle.

Camilla Carbone earned a gold medal last year in the 100-yard backstroke and was part of the winning team for the 200-yard medley relay alongside Zoe DeKievit, Meritxell Font Cantarero, and Becca Burrows.

"Last time at the GLIAC Championships," said NMU representatives, "the 'Cats claimed second overall with a combined team score of 1343.5."
