Northern Michigan University's Jacy Weisbrod has been recognized as the GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. The announcement was made by the conference on Monday.
Weisbrod played a pivotal role in leading the Wildcats to two significant road victories. In a 69-59 win against Saginaw Valley, she scored 23 points with an impressive shooting performance of 8-13 (61.5%), including four three-pointers and six rebounds. She continued her strong play with 12 points, two rebounds, and three assists in a 66-61 victory over Wayne State, shooting 5-11 (45.5%).
The junior from La Crosse, Wisconsin, is currently seventh in the conference with an average of 13.7 points per game. She has been a standout performer from beyond the arc, leading all GLIAC players and ranking 11th nationally by averaging 2.78 three-pointers per game at a rate of 37.3%.
This week, Weisbrod and her team will return home to face Lake Superior State on Thursday, February 13. They will then host Ferris State on Saturday, February 15 for Senior Day and Play4Kay.
