Northern Michigan University (NMU) Athletics has a busy schedule from January 23 to January 26, featuring several competitions across different sports.
On Thursday, January 23, the women's basketball team will face Ferris State at 5:30 PM. The men's basketball team will also compete against Ferris State, ranked No. 13, with their game scheduled for 7:30 PM.
Friday, January 24, sees the NMU hockey team traveling to Michigan Tech for a match starting at 7:07 PM. Tickets are available for standing room only.
Saturday's events include track and field participation in the Karl Schlender Invitational and alpine skiing at the USCSA Giants Ridge. Greco-Roman wrestling athletes will compete in the 2025 Sundsvall Open. The women's basketball team is set to play against Lake Superior State at 1 PM, followed by the men's basketball game against No. 22 Lake Superior State at 3 PM. Later that evening, NMU's hockey team will host Michigan Tech at home with a start time of 6:07 PM. A "4th Period Party" is planned post-game at Slabz Bar and Grill.
Sunday continues with alpine skiing at USCSA Giants Ridge and more action in Greco-Roman wrestling at the Sundsvall Open.
