The Northern Michigan University (NMU) men's swim and dive team began the year 2025 with a commanding performance, securing first place in 14 out of 16 events during their meet at the PEIF Pool. The team triumphed over the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP) with a score of 161-106.
Several athletes delivered notable performances. Tobie Stiles set both a team and pool record in the 3-meter diving event. Leo Nolles broke the pool record in the 100 freestyle, while Benaiah Schnurstein established a new school record for the 1-meter six-dive competition, achieving NCAA qualification scores for both six-dive and eleven-dive categories.

In the 200 Medley Relay, NMU's A team finished first with a time of 1:33.37. Patrick Andrews was the sole competitor in the 1000 Free, completing it in 10:22.39. Khmara won the 200 Free with a time of 1:41.90, and Rocheleau secured first place in the 100 Backstroke at 52.42 seconds.
Dickman led the way in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 55.42 seconds, while Rosatelli won the 200 Fly in just over two minutes. In diving, Stiles achieved victory on the three-meter board with a score of 255.95 points.
Nolles' record-breaking performance came in the form of a blistering time of 43.58 seconds in the 100 Free, setting a new PEIF Pool Record.
Rice emerged victorious in both individual medley events; he clocked in at two minutes and two seconds for his win in the men's individual medley race.
The meet concluded with NMU's A team winning the final event—the highly anticipated relay—with an impressive combined effort that resulted in another victory for Northern Michigan University’s swim and dive squad.
