Northern Michigan University (NMU) has a busy week ahead in athletics, with events scheduled from January 13 to January 19. The week kicks off on Monday with the women's and men's basketball teams hosting Roosevelt at 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM, respectively. It is faculty and staff appreciation night, where attendees can receive a free box of popcorn with an ID.
On Thursday, both basketball teams will face Wayne State at home, starting with the women's game at 5:30 PM followed by the men's game at 7:30 PM.
The NMU hockey team will travel to Bemidji State for games on Friday and Saturday evenings. The puck drops at 8:07 PM on Friday and at 7:07 PM on Saturday.
Saturday also features NMU's alpine ski team competing at the USCSA Mt. La Crosse event and the Nordic ski team participating in the Ariens Nordic CCSA Invite. The women's basketball team will play Saginaw Valley at home at 1 PM, followed by swim and dive against UW-Stevens Point at 2 PM. The men's basketball game against Saginaw Valley will take place later that afternoon at 3 PM.
On Sunday, both ski teams continue their competitions from Saturday. Additionally, the women's wrestling team will compete in the Alma Open starting at 9 AM.
