Casey Thousand and the women's basketball team at Marquette have announced the signing of three Wisconsin guards to National Letters of Intent. Addison Baumgart, Haddie Showen, and Faith Walder are set to join the Wildcats as freshmen for the 2025-26 season.

Coach Casey Thousand expressed her enthusiasm for the new recruits: "These three players will fit in great with our program. They all work extremely hard both on the court and in the classroom. They are tough players who understand what it takes to be successful. Each of them will add something special to our program. We are thrilled to have them be future Wildcats."

Addison Baumgart, a 6'1 guard from Kaukauna High School, has been recognized twice as Second Team All-Fox Valley Association Conference and maintains a GPA of 3.998. She is also a member of the National Honor Society. Coach Thousand commented on Baumgart's abilities: "Addison is a shooting guard who can rack up points fast from behind the arc. She runs the floor hard and isn't afraid of contact."

Haddie Showen, standing at 5'10, plays point guard for Westfield High School. Her achievements include being named three-time WBCA Honorable Mention All-State and holding school records in assists and triple jump among others. Coach Thousand praised her leadership skills: "Haddie is a great point guard who is an outstanding leader on the court."

Faith Walder, a 5'6 point guard from West De Pere High School, was named Basketball Bay Conference Player of the Year for 2023-24 and has been part of multiple unanimous First Teams in basketball and soccer alike. Coach Thousand remarked on her performance: "Faith is an excellent point guard... She can score at multiple levels and takes pride in grabbing steals."

The trio brings impressive athletic credentials along with strong academic records to Marquette's women's basketball program.
