State Representative Ken Borton has been re-elected as the Republican Caucus chair in the Michigan House of Representatives for the 2025-2026 term. This decision was made by his colleagues within the caucus, positioning him to lead discussions on key policy issues.

Borton expressed his commitment to addressing economic challenges and limiting government spending. "House Republicans are committed to restoring balance to Lansing through common-sense policies focused on limiting government spending and helping families navigate through the broken economy we aim to fix," said Borton, R-Gaylord. He emphasized the authority given by voters to counteract liberal policies and improve the state's trajectory. "Over the next two years, we’re committed to showing Michigan families the overwhelming positive impact that quality Republican leadership can have on their everyday lives."

Borton, who represents Michigan's 105th District, was elected for a third two-year term. His district encompasses Crawford, Otsego, Missaukee, Roscommon counties, and parts of Antrim, Kalkaska, and Oscoda counties.

During his second term, Borton served on the House Appropriations Committee as minority vice chair of both the Agriculture and Rural Development and Natural Resources Appropriations subcommittee. He also participated in Transportation and Licensing and Regulatory Affairs and Insurance and Financial Services Appropriations subcommittees.
