The weekend saw notable performances across various sports as teams and individuals competed in NCAA tournaments and other events.
In women's basketball, the team made its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2019. They secured a victory against Kentucky Wesleyan but were later defeated by Grand Valley State. Jacy Weisbrod achieved a career-high of 29 points and tied a single-game program record with nine three-pointers against Kentucky. Makaylee Kuhn ended her college career surpassing the 2,000-point mark during the loss to the Lakers. The Wildcats concluded their season with a record of 22-10.
The men's basketball team also participated in back-to-back NCAA Tournaments but was eliminated by Ferris State with an 81-65 loss, marking their worst shooting performance of the season at 33.8%. Max Weisbrod led his team with 24 points, including six three-pointers. Their season ended with a record of 22-11.
In women's swimming and diving, the team placed 19th out of 59 teams at the NCAA Championships, scoring 59 points. Several athletes earned All-American honors: Camilla Carbone in the 100 Backstroke (1st Team), Meritxell Font Cantarero in the 200 Butterfly (2nd Team), and multiple relay teams also received recognition. Font Cantarero set a school record in the 200 Butterfly.
The men's swimming and diving team finished 15th out of 59 teams at the NCAA Championships with a total of 96 points. Daniel Lopez Aponte was named to the All-American First Team for his performance in the 400 IM. Other athletes like Leo Nolles and Wyatt Dickman received Second Team honors in various events. Lopez Aponte set a school record in the 400 IM, while Dickman broke another record in the prelims for the 100 breaststroke.
Women's golf participated in the SVSU Invitational, finishing eighth out of fourteen teams with scores of +75 (339,312 -651). Maya Hunter tied for tenth place individually at +12; her second-round score of 71 ranks third all-time for an individual round in program history.
Men's golf also competed at the SVSU Invitational, placing fourteenth out of twenty-one teams (295,305 -600). Eric Yun tied for twenty-third place individually at +2 and recorded two eagles on par-five holes over both days.
