Northern Michigan University volleyball reveals full schedule for upcoming season

The Northern Michigan University Volleyball team has unveiled its 2024 match schedule, which includes nine home games at the newly renovated Vandament Arena. The season will feature a midseason Midwest Crossover and two non-conference tournaments.

The Wildcats aim for a strong season with a mix of returning players and new freshmen. The regular season kicks off with tournament play from September 6-7 at Minnesota State Mankato, where the team will compete in four matches. The following weekend, NMU hosts the UP Open, debuting Vandament Arena on September 12 against Findlay, before traveling to Michigan Tech for further tournament play on September 13-14.

Conference play begins with NMU visiting Parkside on September 20 and Purdue Northwest on September 21. A series of six consecutive home matches starts with the GLIAC opener against Davenport on September 27, followed by Ferris State on September 28. Saginaw Valley State and Lake Superior State visit NMU on October 4 and October 5, respectively.

Michigan Tech visits Vandament Arena on October 10, followed by Roosevelt Lakers' first visit to NMU on October 11. The Midwest Region Crossover Tournament is set for October 18-19 in Hammond, Indiana.

NMU resumes conference play with road matches against Grand Valley on October 25, Wayne State on October 26, and Michigan Tech on October 30. As November begins, NMU hosts Purdue Northwest on November 1 and celebrates Senior Day against Parkside on November 2.

The regular season concludes with four away games: Ferris State (November 8), Davenport (November 9), Lake Superior State (November 15), and Saginaw Valley State (November 16).
