The Wildcats concluded their participation in the GLIAC Championships, securing third place overall with a total of 726 points. They followed Grand Valley State, which amassed 999 points, and Wayne State, which also scored 726 points.
Sophomore Evie DeCarlo and junior Zoe DeKievit performed strongly in the 200 breaststroke event, finishing second and third with times of 2:18.54 and 2:18.62 respectively. These performances earned them DII B-Cut times and contributed 17 and 16 points to their team's score.
In the 100 free event, junior Becca Burrows achieved a podium finish with a DII B-Cut time of 51.10, earning her team an additional 17 points. Freshman Carlotta Santi also secured a DII B-Cut with her time of 51.77, finishing tied for fourth place and adding 14.5 points to the team's tally.
The relay team consisting of Burrows, Olivia Haerr, Mia Strazny, and Carlotta Santi claimed bronze in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:25.57, contributing another 32 points to the Wildcats' score.
Juniors Camilla Carbone and Mia Strazny achieved DII B-Cuts in the 200 back event with times of 2:00.72 and 2:02.33 respectively, placing fourth and seventh to earn their team a combined total of 27 points.
Abbie Harned narrowly missed out on a podium finish in the 1-meter relay but still managed to secure her team an additional 15 points with her score of 404.80.
Freshman Annika Geyer finished fifth in the 1650 free event with a DII B-Cut time of 17:19.73, earning her club another 14 points.
The Wildcats will next participate in the Last Chance Meet on February 10th before heading to the NCAA Championships in March.
