Nilssen claimed her second consecutive gold medal of this year's championships with a total time of 1:05:15.6. She narrowly surpassed Dybwad by just 0.1 seconds, who finished with a time of 1:05:15.7 to take silver after winning bronze on the previous day. Richter completed the podium with a bronze finish at 1:06:11.8.

Additional NMU athletes performed strongly as well, with Lauren McCollor finishing fifth, Kolibri Drobish sixth, and Pearl Harvey seventh. Jordan Parent also placed within the top ten at ninth place.

Flisa Ravald ended in 12th position while Ella Niznik rounded out NMU's scoring efforts by finishing 19th.

In terms of gender-specific team standings for females, NMU led with a total score of 144 points, followed by MTU and CSS with scores of 111 and 104 respectively.

Overall team standings showed NMU leading again with a total score of 287 points across both male and female events combined. MTU came in second place overall followed by CSS.

Looking ahead, NMU is preparing for the NCAA Central Regional Championships scheduled to be held in Houghton, Michigan from February 24-25.
