The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has recognized Maya Hunter from Northern Michigan University (NMU) as the Golfer of the Week. This announcement follows an impressive performance by Hunter and her team at the Klash in Kentucky event.
The NMU women's golf team finished second overall in the competition, with Hunter emerging as a standout player. She achieved a first-round score of 78 and improved to 74 in the second round, culminating in a weekend total of 152 (+8). This placed her second individually, trailing only Paramore from Ashland who scored 147 over two rounds (74, 73). Hunter was also two strokes ahead of Quincy's Novosel, who ended with scores of 79 and 75 for a total of 154.
