NMU men's nordic ski team concludes season at SuperTour Finals

The NMU men's nordic ski team wrapped up its 2023/24 season with the 40km Mass Start at the SuperTour Finals in Duluth, Minnesota. Luke Fricker and Kristoffer Karsrud led the team, finishing first and second among their teammates. Fricker completed the race in 1:53:09.1, while Karsrud followed closely with a time of 1:53:40.9. They placed 12th and 13th collegiately, and were ranked 34th and 35th overall.

Both skiers improved their positions from their opening lap, moving up two spots from initial rankings of 36th and 37th respectively.

Hendrik Peterson finished with a time of 1:58:22.7, securing the 42nd position, while Mathias Haugen completed his race in 2:14:29.4 to finish in the 53rd spot.

In the junior category, Jonathan Clarke participated in the junior 20km event. He achieved a ninth-place finish overall and was fourth among college competitors with a time of 57:40.7. Clarke advanced three positions after starting in the 12th place following his opening lap.
