Karsrud and Fricker lead NMU at SuperTour Finals Team Sprint

The NMU men's Nordic ski team concluded the third day of competition at the SuperTour Finals in Duluth, Minnesota, with a performance in the Team Sprint event. Kristoffer Karsrud and Luke Fricker led the Wildcats by placing fifth overall in the qualifying race. They completed one lap each for a combined time of 5:13.28. Karsrud's lap was timed at 2:36.19, ranking fifth fastest, while Fricker's lap took 2:37.09, ranking seventh.

Their efforts secured them a place in the A Finals where they skied three laps each for a total of six laps. The duo finished 12th overall and eighth among collegiate teams with a time of 17:35.95.

Another team consisting of Mathias Haugen and Jonathan Clarke competed in the B Finals, achieving seventh place overall and fifth collegiately with their time of 17:43.75.

Cooper Lennox and Hendrik Peterson participated in the C Finals, finishing second overall and first among collegiate competitors with a combined time of 19:15.68.

The NMU Nordic team's season will conclude with the freestyle mass start 50km event on Tuesday, March 26th.
