The NMU men's golf team is set to participate in the Klash in Kentucky for the second consecutive weekend. The event, hosted by the Southwest Golf Academy, will take place at the Perry Park Golf Resort in Perry Park, KY, from Friday, March 22 to Saturday, March 23.
The team traveling to Kentucky includes Russel Sprecher, Eric Yun, Walter Ylitalo, Tyler Annala, Arthur Ylitalo, and Brady Badker. Updates throughout the weekend can be followed on the NMU Athletics website and their social media channels @nmu_wildcats and @nmu_wildcat_golf.
In their previous outing at the Kearney Hill Golf Links during the SVSU Spring Invite, NMU finished in 14th place. Eric Yun performed notably with rounds of 72 and 74, finishing +2 (146) through two rounds and tied for 23rd individually. He recorded three birdies and two eagles over the course of the competition.
Overall, NMU completed the event with a total score of +24 (600), finishing just behind Kentucky State University but ahead of host Saginaw Valley. The team showed strength on par 5's with a -18 average score across those holes.
