The NMU Alpine team concluded its 2024 season at the USCSA Nationals in Lake Placid, New York. The women's team secured second place among 25 schools, while the men's team finished fourth out of 27 schools.
In the women's competition, Reagan Olli led her team by finishing sixth overall with 86.69 place points. She was named Team All-American in the slalom and Second-Team All-American in the giant slalom. Her top performance was a fifth-place finish in the slalom with a time of 1:47.61.
Ainsley Kirk ended her weekend in tenth place individually with 107.75 place points. She earned Second-Team All-American honors in both events after placing tenth in the giant slalom and fifteenth in the slalom.
Ella Wichert followed closely behind Kirk, securing eleventh place individually with 113.91 place points. Wichert received Second-Team All-American honors for her twelfth-place finish in the giant slalom and narrowly missed another honor with her sixteenth-place position in the slalom.
Emily Creek and Tommie Springer completed their runs by finishing sixty-fifth and one hundred eighth, respectively.
On the men's side, Aaron Grzelak stood out by finishing sixth overall with 120.41 place points, earning a bronze medal in the slalom and First-Team All-American honors.
Brad Seaborg placed ninth with 146.47 place points, achieving Second-Team All-American honors for his sixth-place finish in the slalom with a time of 1:40.30.
Andrew Truman came nineteenth with 214.81 points, highlighted by his twelfth-place finish in the slalom to earn Second-Team All-American Honors.
Connor Abraham finished seventy-fifth, Will Blackmer ninety-ninth, and Reed Heathman rounded out their team at one hundred ninth.
