Northern Michigan announces track & field schedule for 2024-25

MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Northern Michigan track & field team has announced its slate of meets for the upcoming 2024-25 season. The indoor season will feature six regular-season meets in three different states while the outdoor season will span competition over five weekends in four states.

The indoor season gets underway on December 7 at the UW-Oshkosh Early Bird Invite, the lone meet in the 2024 calendar year. After a break, the 'Cats return to action with three straight meets downstate, starting at GVSU on January 25, followed by consecutive trips to Saginaw Valley for the Jet's Pizza Invite and WCW Tri-Meet.

NMU's penultimate indoor regular-season tune-up will take place in Minnesota at the Mankato Indoor Challenge on February 14-15. The regular season concludes at the Parkside Classic in Kenosha, Wisconsin on February 22.

The indoor GLIAC Championships will take place in Saginaw once again on March 1-2. The NCAA Championships are scheduled for March 14-15 in Indianapolis.

The outdoor campaign gets going two weeks later in the last weekend of March with a trip to Illinois State for the Redbird Challenge. NMU will be in three different states in April, starting at the Golden Grizzly Invite in Rochester Hills, Michigan, then going out west for a trio of California meets, followed by another trip to Rochester Hills before ending the regular season with a trip to De Pere, Wisconsin for a meet hosted by St. Norbert.

The GLIAC Championships will take place at Grand Valley from April 30 - May 2. Northern will then have a Last Chance Meet the following weekend before the NCAA Championships take place in Pueblo, Colorado from May 22-24.
