MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Northern Michigan University men's soccer program has announced its incoming recruiting class ahead of the 2024 season.

The class comprises 18 new players, with representatives from the United States, England, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Albania, and Canada. Among the U.S. recruits, three are from Michigan, two from Colorado, and one each from Wisconsin, Texas, and Ohio. Internationally, three players come from England; two each from Germany and the Netherlands; and one each from Sweden, Albania, and Canada.

The group includes 12 freshmen and six transfers: four from NJCAA schools and one each from NCAA and CCAA institutions. Additionally, four MLS Next Academy signings are featured in this class.

"I couldn't be more excited to officially announce our 2024 class," said head coach Alex Fatovic. "I'd like to first welcome a tremendous group of talented players and people to NMU from all over the world. From Michigan to Albania and everywhere in between, this class is very diverse, coming from all levels, countries and clubs."

Fatovic highlighted the extensive efforts by his staff in securing what he described as the largest and most talented class in the program's history. He also acknowledged the hard work of returning players during the off-season.

The Wildcats will begin their season with an exhibition match at Madonna University on August 23. Their first regular-season game is scheduled for September 5 at Northwood University with a home opener against Lewis University on September 12.
