Bergman stated, “President Biden’s likely final State of the Union address to Congress was entirely disconnected from the actual State of our Union." He further highlighted the challenges faced by the nation, mentioning the border crisis, economic instability, and lack of leadership on a global scale. Despite these issues, Bergman remained optimistic about America's resilience and the brighter days ahead.
Bergman also pointed out the lack of acknowledgment by President Biden regarding his administration's role in exacerbating the problems faced by the country. He remarked, “Throughout his speech, Biden highlighted some of the problems we are facing but failed to mention how much of that is a direct result of his Administration’s failure to put America First."
In conclusion, Bergman emphasized the need for a shift in focus towards the prosperity and future of the nation. He stated, “Just over a year ago following his State of the Union I noted that ‘It’s time President Biden set aside his demeaning partisanship and fight for the prosperity and future of our Republic.’ Unfortunately, he refused to do that again tonight. We deserve better."
