4.8% of Otsego County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Otsego County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.8% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 576 people out of the 25,016 living in Otsego County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Otsego County has decreased compared to the 5.7% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Otsego County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 6.2%.

Of the 11,438 people who had a job during that time, 10 were employed in the Armed Forces and 11,428 belonged to the civilian labor force.
