2021 has 6.2% of Kalkaska County residents unemployed

Kalkaska County recorded an unemployment rate of 6.2% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 486 people out of the 17,813 living in Kalkaska County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Kalkaska County has increased compared to the 5.9% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Kalkaska County was nearly equal to the statewide unemployment rate of 6.2%.

Of the 7,407 people who had a job during that time, 16 were employed in the Armed Forces and 7,391 belonged to the civilian labor force.
