7.3% of Cheboygan County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Cheboygan County recorded an unemployment rate of 7.3% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 823 people out of the 25,654 living in Cheboygan County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Cheboygan County has decreased compared to the 7.4% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Cheboygan County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 6.2%.

Of the 10,415 people who had a job during that time, 85 were employed in the Armed Forces and 10,330 belonged to the civilian labor force.
