This January marks the nineteenth annual observance of National Stalking Awareness Month. Stalking is a serious and prevalent victimization that deserves our attention year-round. Please Hope Shores Alliance efforts this month and always by amplifying the call to KNOW IT, NAME IT, and STOP IT! Join Hope Shores Alliance and Alpena County Library this week on Thursday, January 26 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm for a free community learning program about stalking so that we can better believe, support, and validate survivors around us.

It takes all of us – friends and family, community members, advocacy and support services, and legal systems – to better recognize and respond to this prevalent, traumatic, and dangerous crime. Event registration is not required. There is no cost to attend.

While you're in, check out the National Stalking Awareness Month display on the first floor of the Library!
