Meyer Ace Hardware to give away American flags

Meyer Ace Hardware will give away free American flags on Saturday, May 28 to honor the Memorial Day holiday.

Michigan lost 1,242 soldiers in the Korean war and 1,844 in the Vietnam conflict.

Consumers visiting the store at 1371 Us 31 North, Petoskey will receive a free 8’ by 12’ American flag. A second will be donated to the local VFW Emmet County Post to be used for marking veterans’ graves on Memorial Day.

This year, Ace Hardware Corporation aims to again give away more than one million American flags nationally. Last year, it gave away more than 500,000 to Ace customers and more than 550,000 to more than 1,900 VFW Posts.

Flags will be available at Meyer Ace Hardware while quantities last. Each consumer is limited to one free flag; no purchase is necessary.

Meyer Ace Hardware is located at 1371 Us 31 North, Petoskey, Michigan. This location is owned by Dale Meyer, represented by Michael Pfenning and managed by Rebecca Leitelt.
