Spring Fever: Music returns to the Community Center with Me + Joe Smith

A8

The City of Fenton Arts & Culture Commission is presenting its Spring Fever evening of music on Thursday, May 19, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., in the Recreation Room of the Fenton Community and Cultural Center.

The band performing will be Me + Joe Smith. The Detroit trio describes its sound as “funky fresh soul with a folkabilly flow.”

Eric Szczepanski, a member of the Fenton commission, said the group was excited to help usher back live events in the city.

“Also known as the Cabin Fever, the annual series has been a great opportunity to invite people downtown during the winter and spring months to visit the Community Center for an evening of fellowship. We’ve had a variety of artists and bands perform since the series started in 2019,” Szczepanski, who co-chairs the event, said.

The event is sponsored by the City of Fenton Downtown Development Authority, Fenton Community and Cultural Center, and by a matching grant from Share Art Genesee.

Tickets are $15.00 and available to purchase on Fenton.Arts.eventbrite.com or will be available at the door. Light hors d’oeuvres, beer, and wine will be provided.
