Of the 15,525 people living in Traverse in 2020, 51.8 percent (8,035) were women and 48.2 percent (7,490) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the North Michigan News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 288. In the 65 and over age range, there were 2,019 females and 1,439 males.
