Monroe Police Department participated in a Mock Crash Scenario

A3

The Monroe Police Department participated in a Mock Crash Scenario hosted by the St. Mary Catholic Central Student Prevention Leadership Team.  The event was held to bring awareness to the dangers of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol and also the dangers of distracted driving, particularly during graduation and prom season.

The Monroe Police Department also joined with the Monroe Fire Department, Monroe Community Ambulance, Life Flight of Michigan, Merkle Funeral Service and Jim's Towing - Home of the WreckMasters to make this a successful event for the students and spectators.  Unfortunately the weather prevented Life Flight from landing their helicopter.  Thank you to the City of Monroe Communications Director, Jody Egen. for taking photographs of this event and to the City of Monroe Department of Public Services for their assistance with road closures.
