Alpena County Library issued the following announcement on Apr 7.
You just never know what you will come across when exploring the Fred Trelfa Local History binders. Back in the day, moving full houses was not all that uncommon in Alpena. This house once belonged to Robert Mawhinney, a sheet metal worker at the Huron Portland Cement Company. This photograph shows it being moved to an empty lot on 5th Avenue near June Street.
It is believed that the home still is there!
