City of Cadillac issued the following announcement on Feb 7.
Match on Main Grant Application
The City of Cadillac announced in 2021 that it is now Redevelopment Ready Certified (RRC). This certification proves to the state we are ready for development and growth and allows the City of Cadillac access to more state and federal grant opportunities. One opportunity is the Match on Main Grant, a reimbursement program designed to help local businesses grow and rebound after Covid-19.
In 2021 the City of Cadillac applied on behalf of 2 local businesses and one business was chosen by the State of Michigan as a recipient of this grant. Now Round 2 of the Match on Main Grant is open again. The City of Cadillac is partnering again with the Community Foundation, Chamber of Commerce, and the Alliance for Economic Success to distribute applications and choose applicants. One business in the Downtown Development Authority District and one business from the Cadillac West Corridor Improvement Authority District are allowed to apply for this reimbursement from the state in this round.
All businesses interested in applying for this grant may contact the City of Cadillac Administrative offices. The Application is available on the City of Cadillac Website, www.cadillac-mi.net. There is a one-page description of qualifications the State of Michigan has set and must be met by each applicant to be eligible to apply for the grant.
Applications are due to John Wallace, Community Development Director by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, March 1st. Applications can be submitted to City Hall 200 N. Lake Street, Cadillac, MI 49601 or via email to John Wallace at jwallace@cadillac-mi.net.
