Alcona Community Schools recently issued the following announcement.
ACS Early College Campaign: Today's spotlight for our Early College campaign is the Alpena Community College library! Mrs. Cordes made a visit to the ACC library to learn more about resources for our EC students, such as reference materials, study space, computers, and more. While visiting the library Mrs. Cordes ran "head-on" into Mark Twain! Did you know Mark Twain once said "The secret of getting ahead is getting started”? One of the great benefits of the EC program is that students can get ahead by trying something new and taking more than 10 college classes!
This allows students to explore more and learn from their mistakes while in high school. One of the best things a student can do is complete a college class and realize that a program of study is not their passion.
What better way to do this than through EC so it's at no cost to the student or their family? Join us February 24 to learn more about our Early College Program!
