City of Cheboygan issued the following announcement on Feb 3.

Meet the Class of 22' - Casey Clear

Introducing Casey Clear.  Casey works as the Executive Assistant for the City of Cheboygan.  Casey graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in Human Resources and Accounting.

Currently a member of the Society of Human Resource Management, Casey and has volunteered with the Cheboygan Area Jaycees and is a past Fort Michilmackinac Pageant Committee Board Member.

When asked what being a leader means to her, Casey responded, “Being a leader means not being afraid to step up—even in challenging times—and interacting in a confident and positive manner that encourages other to do the same.”  A response like this makes Casey the perfect fit for her position as Executive Assistant for the City of Cheboygan and to be a model student for Leadership Cheboygan.

Along with her professional responsibilities, Casey cares for five “fur babies”, and finds time to hunt for beach glass and rocks, taking drives to enjoy the Northern Michigan scenery and spend time with family, friends, and her boyfriend.

Casey is originally from Cheboygan, and after ten years away, she is “excited to make connections and friendships that will help her continue to serve this beautiful area we call home.”

The Leadership Cheboygan program is lucky to have Casey.  Her attention to detail, careful consideration, and follow-through are traits that will leave a lasting impact on her fellow students and the program itself.
